Reporting to the Manager, Relationship & Development for Prince Edward Island, the Community Relationship Coordinator is responsible for fundraising activities, including workplace campaign, supporting the organization’s community impact and funding work, and providing administrative support. They play a critical role in supporting all aspects of United Way’s work on the Island.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Manage workplace campaigns and support, train, and coordinate volunteers and United Way champions.
- Identify and coordinate engagement initiatives and volunteer opportunities for donors and supporters.
- Implement funding review processes and work directly with agencies on funding applications, reporting processes, and evaluation.
- Support administrative functions of the PEI office including data entry, ordering supplies, and serving as the first point of contact for in-person inquiries.

Additional Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree (or equivalent experience) with at least 1-3 years of progressive experience in fundraising, business development or professional sales or a related relationship-focused environment.
- 1-3 years of experience working with/for the non-profit sector.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Extensive experience working with Microsoft applications.
- Comfort with learning and using different online software applications.
- Experience with public speaking, making presentations and group facilitation.
United Way Maritimes is committed to a comprehensive compensation package including salary, pension contribution, health and dental benefits, generous vacation time, professional development and training, flexible work hours and location. Salary range for this position starts at $49,300 per year.
